Core Values

Edge-Line Mobile Veterinary Services is dedicated to improving the Caribbean Veterinary industry through the promotion of no fear animal interactions and natural horsemanship. We believe restraint and sedation may be necessary for security reasons both our large and small animals alike. However, we practice fear free first and foremost.

Fear Free

We acknowledge the individuality of each animal, and as well as their personal pain threshold in order to provide the greatest relief with minimal stress on the animal.

Dental Floating Technique

Our floating technique necessitates that we pay keen attention to each horse during treatment. In this way, the horse is able to communicate areas of pain, which we then address. This enables us to give each horse the best care based on their specific needs.

Dr. Jaxson-Rei Heffes

Dr. Jaxson-Rei Heffes is an avid animal lover, with a particular fondness for horses. A recent graduate of the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of the West Indies, Trinidad & Tobago, he is currently registered and licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Jamaica.

He studied at the University of Maryland where he obtained a B.Sc in Animal Science Horse Management. He then went on to Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge in 2016 to complete a Post-Graduate Master’s in Animal Science, focusing on Equine Reproductive Physiology.

Interested in thoroughbred health and welfare, Dr. Heffes is also a graduate of a Horsemanship Dentistry Program, in Palm City, Florida.
